What is yWriter?

yWriter is powerful novel-writing software which breaks your novel into chapters and scenes, helping you keep track of your work while leaving your mind free to create. It will not write your novel for you, suggest plot ideas or perform creative tasks of any kind. yWriter was designed by an author, not a salesman!

The beta for yWriter for MacOS can be accessed via this link.

As an alternative, if you own the paid yWriter iOS app it is also possible to run it on a macos device if it has an apple silicon chip.

Use with caution. Backup your projects before opening with this beta as it could make unexpected changes since it's unstable.

The Windows version will remain free as always.
